July 1st, 1898 during the U.S. Army's assault against fortified Spanish positions atop San Juan and Kettle Hills - near Santiaga, Cuba - the gallant African-American soldiers of the 10th Cavalry Regiment spearhead the tenacious charge, energized by the heroic actions of Sergeant George Berry. Berry carries forward the regimental colors of this own 10th, along with those of the all-white 3rd Cavalry Regiment - after their color bearer had been shot down. The Americans carry the day thanks in large part to the courageous performance of the Tenth.

This is the second release in Reeves' "Alter of Freedom" series. The first, "Pride Over Prejudice" was released in late 1997.
